A thoughtful design process is essential to the success of every productive garden. A comprehensive site plan allows you to combine elements of your urban farm to create a cohesive, functional, and beautiful space.

A garden design includes scaled drawings of the space, planting recommendations, material specifications, and precise dimensions for garden elements such as: garden beds, pathways, trellises, irrigation, tool sheds, washing stations, greenhouses, and seating areas.

Additional drawings including planting plans, grading plans and renderings can also be produced, as applicable to each project.

Our team of expert builders will translate your garden design from concept to reality.

We create beautiful and functional spaces with sustainably sourced materials and pride ourselves on producing the highest quality, non-toxic garden structures possible.

Garden elements are built from naturally rot-resistant woods, stone, and other long-lasting materials.

All of our installations are built to the highest standards to create beautiful, productive, safe, and ecologically-friendly outdoor environments.

Seattle Urban Farm Company_Edible Garden Maintenance

After garden installation is complete, we offer a range of garden maintenance services.

Our experienced farm crew can stop by your garden on a weekly or bi-weekly basis throughout the season. We bring all of the vegetable transplants, seeds, trellises, organic fertilizers, organic pest control materials, and tools necessary to keep your garden healthy and attractive.

You are always welcome to join us during our visits if you’d like to learn more about edible gardening. We keep you up to date with emails and newsletters detailing what is ready for harvest, what is coming soon, and other seasonal garden topics.

What Our Clients Say

We have been harvesting mint and rosemary for our ice creams, lavender, sage, lemon verbena, and thyme for our sodas, and well, just eating the strawberries fresh off the plants! I am proud that Parfait has always worked directly with local, organic farmers to source our produce, and now, it’s even that much more gratifying to grow some of our own food ourselves. Talk about Farm-to-Cone!
— Adria, owner of Parfait
Ravish [Restaurant], in the heart of Eastlake, has been fortunate to work with Seattle Urban Farm Co (SUFCo) to help us create a customized urban rooftop garden to produce exactly what our chefs need. They were instrumental in educating us about what to grow and how to produce the best yielding crops. They also took the time to show us how to maintain the gardens, harvest and turn crops over with the best results. Our rooftop garden fits perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and we couldn’t have done it without SUFCo!
— Lisbet, Owner of Ravishing Radish Catering
I tried for several years to make a garden grow, to be able to eat our own food. Things always went wrong and it was a mess. A new strategy this year–try the Seattle Urban Farmer. A garden crew came early this year during a dry spell and improved the layout and dug some amendments into the soil. Later Hilary began to come here to plant starts and seeds. She has returned several times for maintenance. Now the garden looks great – the vegetable kingdom is in my backyard. We are eating fresh vegetables and barely staying ahead of the green and leafy things.
— John
I truly enjoy working with all the people from Seattle Urban Farm Company. They are flexible, knowledgeable, encouraging, and educational. They made our organic vegetable garden the best part of our yard. SUFC helps make growing healthy, tasty, organic food so much fun. It wouldn’t be the same without them.
— Tamara
What I love about SUFCo, is that they have an incredible depth of knowledge, yet they are truly humble. They are natural educators, responsive and open to questions and ideas, but very focused on getting the work done well. As my family has grown and matured, they have met our curiosity with enthusiasm. Whenever we spend time working with them, I taste another level of satisfaction in the amazing organic produce I can feed my family.

Seattle Urban Farm Company (SUFCo) recently built and installed nine raised beds for our garden on Phinney Ridge. In what seemed like no time at all, they removed our existing sod, constructed nine attractive, well-designed beds, filled the beds with organic planting material and when finished, cleaned up remarkably thoroughly. Throughout the whole process, we found the crew to be professional, considerate, efficient, flexible and good-humored. The final cost conformed to the original estimate and the project was completed on schedule. SUFCo took our boring front lawn and turned it into an attractive and extremely usable growing space. We are already reaping the benefits of their efforts in the form of healthy pea, asparagus, cucumber, lettuce, kale, tomato and herb plants, with plenty of room left for more planting. We could not be happier with the work done by SUFCo.
